CINEMATOGRAPHY

Ken Willinger is an Emmy award winning Director of Photography with more than 25 years in the TV/Film business. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, and available both nationally and internationally, he is well versed in all aspects of film and television production.

 

EXPERIENCE

Ken has filmed projects around the world with much time spent in  South America, The Middle East, Africa and Europe with an emphasis on Russia. Credits include documentary, narrative, commercial and episodic TV.

 

PROFESSIONAL EQUIPMENT

With a state of the art RED ONE Digital Cinema Camera now available in his production package, Ken can offer clients an affordable option to 35mm film.

 

Other formats available include the PANASONIC HVX200 720P HD P2 camera with a 35mm still lens adapter and a SONY D600WS (16X9) Betacam SP camera.

 

The recent acquisition of more Arri and LTM lighting has expanded his already expansive lighting package (1 ton van) and can comfortably cover most small to medium needs.

 

Also recently added to the production package is an ARRI FF-4 follow focus unit, a 3 stage RedrockMicro matte box that can handle Panavision size filters, an Element Technica Mantis Hand Held system and an Easyrig. An ANGENIEUX 25 - 250 PL mount Zoom lens, a set of RED PRO PRIME lenses and a new Duclos (Tokina) 11 - 16 wide angle lens are great enhancements to our RED ONE digital cinematography camera package.

A short film for the Doorpost Film Project is currently in production with one more shoot day scheduled in January. Armen Garo stars as the lead.

Finished filming the 1st episode of the new season of the new show that used to be "Design Squad" for PBS. It doesn't seem to have an official name yet. The production took place on location in the South Bronx, NY.

 

"Industrial Tsunami" a new documentary on the decline of skilled labor in America is in production for PBS. Currently we are filming with the HVX200 with a 35mm adapter. We've already filmed in St. Louis, Chicago and Springfield, MA.

 

 

A trailer for the documentary called "Vanished" is completed. We used the Red camera and the HVX200 with 35mm adapter. It's the story of the disappearance of 3 women in Springfield, MO. HBO is showing interest.

 

The 19 minute short film titled "A Dinner Engagement" is out of post and has been submitted to BET. It's a comedy that was shot on the Red camera.

Filming cooking how-to segments for the internet in association with The Full Yield in HD using the HVX 200 and the kitchen studio at Lexmedia in Lexington, MA.
